## Booting from DVD
## Booting from DVD
Booting from DVD is deprecated.
ROME iso's boot from DVD using Legacy or UEFI boot. Should you encounter difficulties there are 2 work arounds [here](https://forum.openmandriva.org/t/booting-om-lx-4-3-iso-from-dvd/4377) that should enable one to boot from DVD. In testing booting ROME from DVD took 5-6 minutes. This may take longer on some hardware. Using a DVD for this purpose is a lot slower than using a USB flash drive.
For all OMLx ISOs there are workarounds in [Booting OM Lx 4.3 ISO from DVD](https://forum.openmandriva.org/t/booting-om-lx-4-3-iso-from-dvd/4377) that should enable one to boot from DVD. Even though the forum post refers to OMLx 4.3 the instructions should work for ROME.
