Some users report issue with choppy or stuttering sound in OM VirtualBox 7.0.x package. This issue seems to be related to users hardware. Developers are aware of this problem and actively looking for a solution. Users should keep in mind that sound in VirtualBox is an emulation and the process is subject to periodic issues. *Thus using VirtualBox for multimedia is likely to have periodic problems.*
